At the Manor House Museum
Tuesday 8th May 1945 was an emotional day when fighting against Nazi Germany, in Europe, came to an end. People celebrated the end of the conflict with big celebrations and street parties but it was also a time of reflection and great sadness. This exhibition tells you everything you need to know about VE Day and shares some of the stories of wartime Kettering.
We would love to hear from you if you have any objects which relate to the local area and the period of the Second World War. From military action to domestic life, we would like to reveal as many aspects of wartime Kettering as we can. Please do not bring items down to the museum as, unfortunately, we will not be able to accept them.
For more information please contact the museum at firstname.lastname@example.org and title your email ‘Your museum wants you’.
