As seen on Britain’s Got Talent, Welshman Noel James made it to the live semi-finals in 2018. A regular on S4C and Radio Wales, Noel James is a charismatic performer whose quick wit, warmth and charm have served him well in the stand-up comedy clubs of the UK and overseas.
Funny and adorable Irish/Iranian/Teessider comedian Patrick Monahan knows how to work a room and engage an audience with a strongly skilled blend of ad lib banter and stand up. Patrick has worked his way up the comedy circuit ladder and is has performed at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival for a number of years at the Gilded Balloon.
Howard Read is a comic, writer, animator and actor, in that order. He is best known for being one half (and the other half), of the Big Howard, Little Howard, the world’s first human cartoon double-act. He is also an acclaimed stand-up comic, writer, author, illustrator and animator. As a Stand up Howard Read is brilliantly off the wall. Totally silly, songs and jokes and stupidness. The man is a baffoon of the highest order. And in this business that is a good thing.

Cracking adlibbing…a joke-rich rallying call for a better Britain’ THE GUARDIAN
‘Coruscating live performer specialising in lacerating topical gags’ THE INDEPENDENT
“It was the 24th June 2016 and I found myself in a supermarket contemplating a meal deal. I only wanted a sandwich and I only needed a sandwich but given that I could get a snack and a drink for only 5p more it seemed financially irresponsible not to. It was the day after the Referendum, and I’d spent so long confused about what was happening to my country that I was in a rush as I took my three items to the lad on the till. He scanned the first two items no problem but the third item he couldn’t get to scan at all. I thought this is going to be a nightmare – there was a queue building up and he looked like he was going to call the supervisor. Then to his credit, he tried to scan it one more time, it wouldn’t scan – so he went ‘bip’ himself and chucked it through. And it was at that moment I thought ‘oh we’ll be alright as a country we will’.
Tickets: £15
And we will be alright. Trust me. I’m not a politician.”

COLD LASAGNE HATE MYSELF
1999
One time I bought a lasagne from the supermarket, heated it up in the oven and ate a bit of it and it wasn’t very nice so I put it in the fridge because it felt wrong to dump a whole lasagne in the bin and then later on I ate a spoonful of the cold lasagne because I was drunk and it was absolutely delicious. It was 4am. I then changed the name of a WhatsApp I was a part of to COLD LASAGNE HATE MYSELF 1999 because I had been thinking a lot about how 1999 was the best year of my life and also about how much I hate myself sometimes. The next day I was asked to name my new show. Come along.

‘The World’s Most Outrageous Comedian’ is far too rude for TV, so this live performance is the only place to catch the flamboyant comedian!
JOHNNY’S HAPPY PLACE Proudly Presents A COMEDY GIG FOR ALEX
ED NIGHT, JOE SUTHERLAND & CRIME SCENE IMPROVISATION with Nick Wills as Compere
JHP’s ‘A Comedy Gig for Alex’ is a fundraiser for their volunteer Alex, who was left paralysed in 2018. Alex is a wonderful young man who was training to be a counsellor with Corby Mind. He was travelling back from there during the snow storms of 2018 when his car slid into a ditch. Alex needs lots of equipment to help with him with his rehabilitation and his physiotherapy isn’t cheap.
In short, he needs money and we want to help him by putting on events over the next year. Alex desperately wants to come back to JHP to volunteer and we will support him as much as we can.
Edinburgh Fringe Festival favourites Ed Night, Joe Sutherland and Crime Scene Improvisation will be rolling into Kettering for a guaranteed night of laughter and mayhem in aid of Alex. None of these comedians have performed in Kettering before so come see them while you can; they are hot stuff! Please keep an eye on JHP’s website for upcoming events including our Northern Soul Night on Nov 2nd!
